Today I'm feeling musical, so you're in for a hoof tappin' post. I'm going to share some clicks and bangs that I'm loving right now. Though most of the following isn't fresh off the press it's definitely FRESH.
First off, an older volume (#9) in the We Make It Good Mix Series by Vancouver's Paul Devro.
I chose this mix as opposed to the newer mix by Salem for a few reasons:
- I like the intro
- John Holt!
- I get to mention that his brother Eric is keen on zentai suits, just like me, therefore I have an excuse to upload a photo of my beloved and most versatile spandex attire. SO FASHION!
And because you can never get enough mixtapes, you can check out the entire WMIG series at wemakeitgood.com
LBG rekindled my love of Baby Girl the other night by breaking this one out. I'm spreading the good word again, 15 years later...
So if "Back and Forth" wasn't girly enough for you, I'm going to go ahead and estrogen it up a little bit more here (pun unfortunately intended). I bought the Lykke Li "Youth Novels" album on vinyl a long time ago. I didn't have a turntable. Now I do thanks to LBG (lots of props to him in this post), so now I get to overload on it like everyone else did two years ago. I like her. She makes cool live street perfomance videos with great bands like Bon Iver and has a nice messy bun. I like her.
It's too bad there's no video for my favorite Lykke Li tune, "Let It Fall". Here's the mp3...
That's all for today folks.
